Terms of Use of EurOMo Full Search

These Terms apply to access to the Euromedia Ownership Monitor full search (“Full Search”) via our platform.

Access and eligibility

• Full Search access is provided upon approval of a legitimate-interest request. We may request clarification or supporting documentation where needed.
• We may withdraw or suspend access if your application contains materially incorrect information, your access creates a security risk, or there is credible evidence of misuse.

Account use and security

• Access is granted to the approved individual and/or named organisation and is not transferable.
• Do not share credentials. Keep your account secure (strong password).
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access or misuse.

Responsible handling of personal data

• Full Search may include beneficial owner names and related ownership information, which can constitute personal data.
• When you use information from Full Search, you are responsible for complying with applicable EU law, including the GDPR. In particular, you must:

• • have a valid lawful basis for any processing of personal data (GDPR Art. 6),
  • follow the GDPR principles (e.g., lawfulness, fairness, transparency, purpose limitation, data minimisation, security) (GDPR Art. 5),
  • implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data (GDPR Art. 32).

• You must not use information to harass, intimidate, discriminate against, or unlawfully target individuals.

Platform integrity

• Do not attempt to bypass access controls, security measures, or technical limits.
• Do not run automated activity (bots/high-frequency querying) that degrades the service. If you need systematic access (e.g., API/bulk), contact us for an agreed method.

Attribution and license notice

• Unless stated otherwise, dataset content is licensed under CC BY 4.0. If you share material covered by this license, you must provide appropriate credit, link to the license, and indicate changes where applicable.

• You may not apply legal terms or technical measures that restrict others from doing anything the license permits.

Logging and compliance

• We may keep access and security logs (e.g., authentication events, query volumes) to protect the platform, investigate misuse, and maintain compliance.
• Where required for grant management and compliance, information related to access requests and platform use may be shared with the European Commission and authorised bodies for checks, reviews, audits and investigations.
